Volunteer Ministers’ Yellow Tent Offers Practical Help in Milan

MILAN — 22 January 2026 — The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have set up their iconic yellow tent in Milan, offering a visible meeting point for practical help and listening support, alongside simple “Tools for Life” techniques that can be applied to real-life difficulties. Already seen in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn simple steps for handling stress, improving communication and resolving conflicts, as well as practical help during difficult moments.

Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory “Tools for Life” courses covering communication, relationships, study skills, workplace challenges and conflict resolution. The approach is personal and practical: identify the issue and offer a step that can be used immediately.

In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during major emergencies including L’Aquila (2009) and Emilia-Romagna (2012), and have also assisted during recent floods in Marche (2022) and Romagna (2023), working with local services and civil-protection partners to help clear homes and public spaces.

In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation efforts and support for families in need. Organisers say volunteers then continued with community care work, including over 160 consecutive Saturdays of community clean-up and support, extending across all nine municipalities of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.
